Every now and then a real treasure turns up that has been lost for a long, long time. Badgley
Publishing Company is proud to announce that such a treasure has come into our possession and will
soon be released to the public. The treasure is an 800 page, handwritten journal kept by an American
soldier in World War 1 bought at an auction by Mr. Bruce Jarvis, an avid World War 1 historian and
collector. The Journal is being transcribed now and will be published soon.
I have read many, many war diaries and journals in my life but none can compare with this journal. The
author, William Graham not only kept a detailed account of his actions on a day to day basis but adds
the happenings, thoughts and stories of the events that unfolded in the entire Western Front and does
so in such a way that the reader will feel like he is there with him sharing the horrors of war along with
the camaraderie of the soldiers and civilians he associates with. The journal is filled with stories of
individual heroism and patriotism not experienced since that generation took the field to battle the Hun.
We will be including photographs from the Jarvis Collection that have never before been published.
Whether you are a lover of World War 1 history or not, you will definitely enjoy meeting Bill and the
others as you read his words and I guarantee that you will have a whole new outlook on the War to
end all Wars. This journal is definitely the best ever written from that time period.
