A Sequel to Born to Serve
It is 1936. George Jackson, a colored man, is living in Washington Court House, Ohio while the woman he loves is living in New York City. They have separate lives and it doesn’t appear they can ever be together. Although Naomi Sispatrick, a bi-racial woman, loves George, she is a former nun. She left the convent, but continues to honor her vows of poverty and chastity.
Now Ohio is being plagued by The Black Legion. The Legion sprang from the Ku-Klux- Klan and is running rampant through Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and West Virginia. The Black Legion does not like colored folk. and George has reason to be concerned about them. Will he and Naomi remain safe and someday find a way to be together? Can Naomi find peace with her conscience and marry George?
